About Me
I'm Gonçalo Ferreira, an empathetic UX Designer and Front-End Developer originally from Portugal, now based in Zurich, Switzerland. With a diverse background in pastry and customer service, I bring a unique perspective to digital design, blending creativity with technical expertise.
I spent seven years as a Pastry Chef before transitioning to the UX Design industry, where I studied with CareerFoundry, specializing in Front-End Web Development for Designers. My journey into coding deepened with a course from Codecademy, where I completed the Front-End Web Development path.
My experience in the kitchen honed my ability to manage the unexpected, adapt quickly, and maintain a meticulous attention to detail—skills that are invaluable in design. The creativity I used to craft new recipes now drives my approach to developing intuitive, human-centric digital products.
Since moving to Zurich in 2022, I've not only advanced my technical skills but also learned to speak German, all while working as a cook. I’m a dedicated, creative team player who thrives in dynamic environments and is always eager to share and explore new ideas.
I'm passionate about making a positive impact through design and look forward to applying my skills and experience to create digital experiences that are both functional and meaningful.
